Cedars Heart Program Remains #1 in California, Best In The West and Top 3 In US

Drs Caren, Nayeri and Urman are proud to be attending cardiologists in the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute, once again ranked # 1 in Los Angeles and California, Best in the West and in the top 3 cardiac programs in the country for 2022 – 23 by US News & World Report. In addition, Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute continues to be ranked among the top 10 specialized hospitals in the world for cardiology and cardiac surgery by Newsweek. Since 2013, the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute has been ranked in the top 10 heart programs in the nation by US News & World Report and # 1 in the Western US, California and Los Angeles since 2011. More adult heart transplants are performed at Cedars-Sinai annually than any other institution worldwide and for several years running it remains one of the top 3 cardiac programs in America along with the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic.

In addition, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has been named the # 1 hospital in Los Angeles and California for 2022-2023 with six Cedars-Sinai specialties earning the # 1 ranking in Los Angeles and five specialties being ranked # 1 in California (and in the top 3 in the US) including Cardiology and Heart Surgery (in addition to Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Lung Surgery, Urology and Neurology and Neurosurgery for the city rankings). Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) at Cedars also is in the nation’s top 3. These rankings mean that Cedars-Sinai is not only once again on the prestigious Best Hospitals Honor Roll for 2023 – 2023 as one of the top 10 hospitals in America (for the fifth time) but is now ranked as the # 2 hospital in the nation for 2022-23.
Eleven specialties at Cedars are ranked nationally, meaning Cedars-Sinai is among the top hospitals in the nation in these clinical areas.
