Dr. Mark Urman elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA)

Dr. Urman, a Board-Certified Cardiologist serving Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and all of Southern California, received this prestigious designation recognizing excellence, innovation, and leadership in clinical cardiology.  This honor adds the esteemed F.A.H.A. to his professional title.  Dr. Urman had received the honor of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (F.A.C.C) over a decade ago and is one of a few select cardiologists in the US achieving the Fellow designation of the country’s top two professional organizations in cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Urman is currently a board member of the Los Angeles County Division of the American Heart Association (AHA) and was one of the top individual fund-raisers for the AHA’s Heart Walk in Los Angeles in 2009.  He has been involved in many other community efforts to raise money for cardiac research as well as raising awareness of heart disease to improve prevention and treatment of the nation’s number one killer.  Dr. Urman was among the first cardiologists in Los Angeles to become board-certified in echocardiography and also earned the distinction of being named a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE).
